The Full Tilt Creative Centre in McIvers played host to a Sideshow on Sunday afternoon — an end of Summer art exhibition spanning multiple barns, sheds and a big sunny field.
When we first arrived we headed to the big field which over looks the beautiful Bay of Islands. It was a sunny day, so it was a great day to spend outside.
The big Full Tilt field hosted Faces: Billboards, a big (literally) exhibition from Phil Robbins. The project involved taking photos of local people and printing huge versions in a billboard style. See the photo above, or more below taken by Jillian Parsons.

After spending time in the field, we headed back to the the Full Tilt centre for smaller, indoor installations (and some snacks).

Just outside the centre was a small shed housing a huge, creepy and pulsating sea anemone!

And in the large barn, Collette Urban performed her (also slightly creepy) performance piece, Hoot:
Full Tilt is a great place to spend an afternoon, especially a warm, end-of-summer, art filled one. Now, if only I can find some people to play a big game of hide and seek with in that field.
