These past few weeks at Corner Brook Regional High have been pretty uneventful due the crazy amounts of studying taking place for those dreaded midterm exams of ours. You would think that you would get used to sitting in the gym for six hours after having studied for what felt like fourteen hours the night before, but even after doing it every year, it’s still pretty terrible. It sure feels good when all’s said and done though, especially for us level threes who will never have a regular midterm again. YAY!
Our wonderful student council, thinking about the welfare of the general students’ study body, decided to initiate a “Comfy Day” theme day for the last day of school before exams (Thursday of last week). The call? Come to school dressed in their comfiest clothes so that no one would feel like the odd slob out in a sea of heels and fancy clothes. Students wore slipper, pajamas, bath robes, sweats… you get the picture. Student council representatives also served free hot chocolate at lunch time for all, even with little marshmallows. It was a great day all around… even if the comfy clothes made us fall asleep during last minute review classes.
There will be a hypnotist show at CBRH on February 2nd, with the amazing Ian Stuart. The event will be open to the public. His shows are amazing and hilarious, so come out and see the peculiar way the mind works and prepare to be amazed!
