Dance Week Podcast Episode 4: Lori Savoury

April 26, 2012

Contributed by Candice Pike.

In today’s episode of the Dance Week Podcast I address an issue that is very important to me – teaching dance.

As I continue to explore strategies and philosophies in my own teaching practice, I am always on the lookout to talk to other teachers to learn about thier approach. Luckily, a friend introduced me to Lori Savory, a bellydancer and teacher in St. John’s. Her teaching is focused on engagement and empowerment – helping introduce adult students to dance and meet their own personal goals. We come from two different dance styles and backgrounds, but touch on issues that are easily applicable to any teachers or learners!
