Halloween is fast approaching, and if you’re looking for something to get you into the spooky spirit to start off the week you need look no more: the theatre arts class, drama club, and house band from Corner Brook Regional High are putting off a performance of Halloween stories, music, and dance for your entertainment on Monday, October 29th at 7:30pm in the Herdman Hall at CBRH.

The first act of the show is performed by the theatre arts class, directed by the wonderful Ms. Emily Pittman. I can honestly say that in rehearsals I’ve gotten a few goosebumps and cold shivers, especially considering the fact that each scene is based on true local stories that we collected firsthand from friends and family.

Want to groove to some spooky tunes? The house band has prepared a line up of Halloween themed music under the direction of Mr. Floyd Thomas. I’ve passed by the band room a few times during their rehearsals and stopped to listen in on them. What a talented group of musicians… definitely something you won’t want to miss!

To close the show, the drama club has a mixture of pieces that include some classics that you’ll love! Poe’s “The Raven”, Charlie Brown, and a segment of Al Pittman’s “West Moon” are just a few of the scenes that will be gracing the stage tomorrow night, selected and directed by Ms. Paula Grudich.

Along with the performing arts, this show will also include an exhibition by the students in Mr. Glen Simms’ art classes. I haven’t seen them unveiled yet, but based on some of the work these creative minds have made in the past there are sure to be some beautiful pieces on display tomorrow night.

This “Fright Night” starts at 7:30pm on Monday , October 29 in the Herdman Hall at CBRH. Admission is $5, and doors open at 7pm .
