Coming up today for Corner Brook Winter Carnival: breakfast! Skating! Cabbage rolls! Family Fun Day! 

7:30 am to 10 am
Breakfast at the Legion

Royal Canadian Legion, 7 West Street. Breakfast includes: Eggs, ham, bacon, or sausage, pancakes, toast, tea or coffee. Cost $6.50 with button, $7.50 without button.

9 am to 5 pm
Toonie Monday

Come and enjoy a day of skiing at the Blow Me Down Trails off Lundrigan Drive. Purchase a ski pass with your Carnival Button for only $2.00. Rentals Available.

10 am to 1 pm
Lip Sync Contest

McHugh’s on Broadway.  Come and enjoy Corner Brook’s youth imitate their favorite stars.  Watch all ages compete for the top spot of stardom.  Our youth ambassadors will be on hand to judge this event.  This event is sponsored by the Silver Blades Skating Club.  Cost is $2.00 with Carnival Button or $3.00 without.

Carnival Chilli Dinner

Chili Dinner with Apple Crisp and Ice Cream. First United Church, 19 Park Street. Cost: $8.00 adult and $4.00 Children 12 and under. Tickets available from members of the First United Church Women, available at the door or by calling 634-5301. Take out also available.

Jumbo Buffet

Seniors RNC Bowling Roll Off

Centre Bowl, Reid Street. Cost: Free with Carnival Button. Seniors vs RNC. All Seniors welcome.  Refreshments will be served. Sponsored by Corner Brook Center Bowl, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary and the Corner Brook Winter Carnival Committee.

Skating Party

Free Family Skate Sponsored by Investors Group Financial Services. Pepsi Centre, Main Rink. Join us for a skate and Hot Chocolate. Please wear your Carnival Button.

BMO Bank of Montreal Family Day in the Park

Come one, come all and join us for Carnival’s Best Family Day Event –“BMO Family Day in the Park.” Dress in your warmest clothes and spend the day with plenty to do, we’ll have games and music to keep you moving. If that don’t keep you warm, try our treats and hot chocolate that will warm you from head to toe. Admission is free, but we encourage you to donate a food bank item when entering the park. Come all and enjoy the day!

BMO Bank of Montreal Family Day Snow Sculpture Contest

Margaret Bowater Park. Be creative and dress your snowman to win a prize for most creative snow sculpture. Register from 1:30pm – 2:00pm and have your entry judged at 3:00pm, to see if you are Carnival’s Best Builder.

Cabbage Roll Dinner

All Hallows Church Basement, Humber Road (4 – 5 pm Take out, 5 – 7pm Eat in) Cost is $10.00. Enjoy a delicious cabbage roll dinner with vegetables, dessert and tea or coffee. Tickets are available at the door.  All are welcome. Sponsored by the Holy Redeemer Parish.

4:30 pm to 6:30 pm

All Saints Anglican Church Hall, 44 Clarence Street. Tickets $10.00. Delicious Hot Roast Beef Dinner. Tickets are $10.00 and available at church office 634-6963. They sell fast so call today!

Kinsmen Variety Show

Corner Brook Arts & Culture Center. Cost $10.00 (with Carnival Button) Join the Kinsmen Club of Corner Brook as they present a local Talent Show. Tickets can be purchased at the box office.
