Hard Ticket Theatre is bringing the award-winning one-woman show I, Claudia to the still-brand-new Rotary Arts Centre this weekend. This isn’t your usual coming-of-age story.

I, Claudia features Rachael Joffred as all four roles in the play: Claudia, a 12 and 3/4 year old girl trying to make sense of the world; Douglas, Claudia’s grandfather; Leslie, the life of any party; and Drachman, the Bulgonian custodian at Claudia’s school.

Directed by Louise Gautheir, the performance uses four masks to move between the four characters as they tell Claudia’s story: making sense of puberty, middle school, rejection, and her parent’s divorce.

I, Claudia opens on Thursday, February 26 at 8pm and continues nightly at 8pm until Saturday, February 28. Tickets are available online or at the door at the Rotary Arts Centre (which, if you haven’t been yet, is located in the lower level of Corner Brook City Hall).
